The gardens were donated to the City of Ponca City by Elsie Cann Brown, daughter of L. A. and Mary Cann in August 1975.

The garden is a showcase of color, texture and fragrance providing Ponca City citizens and visitors with a sanctuary of plants, trees and flowers to absorb and enjoy.
